Children need to be 6 years old to obtain a library card. Parents/guardians are responsible for material's checked out on a child's card. Cards are non-transferable; only the registered user (or parent/guardian for minors) may use the card.
Borrowing privileges may be suspended for excessive overdue items, lost materials, or misuse of library resources. Card holders, or parent/legal guardian, will be responsible for the cost to replace lost or damaged items.
Responsibility for a child's selection and use of library materials rests with the parent/guardian. Parents who wish to guide or limit their child's borrowing are encouraged to accompany their child, monitor their selections, or provide guidance consistent with their family's values and expectations.
Applying for a library card also gives patrons access to our digital library through the Libby App.
